Is My Job/Role Secure?
It is my desire to retain as many people as possible who wish to remain with Chick-fil-A. Unless you give me a very good reason not to, I plan to hire as many as possible and as close to your current role as possible. Titles and roles can vary between restaurants so I will be discussing that in more depth during the interview process
What should I expect for this interview?
For most team members it will be between 15 and 30 minutes. Please bring 2 forms of I.D to your interview (an example would be a photo I.D. like a drivers license and a Social Security Card or Birth Certificate) I’ll have some standard legal questions but mostly I want to get to know your story, goals, strengths, what your experience has been like, and how we would be able to partner together moving forward. Leaders in the business should expect 1-1.5 hours depending on the role and a focus on your leadership perspective, knowledge of the business, and responsibility/weight you carry in the business.
What about my compensation?
I believe in competitive compensation and it is my hope to be able to afford team members at their current rate to begin. That said, this will be handled on an individual basis during the interview process and generally speaking compensation will be determined based on conduct, availability, knowledge, and performance.
There will be an insurance offering for full-time employees. My goal is that it would be at least comparable to that offered by Chick-fil-A Inc. That said I do expect there will be some differences. If this is an area of concern please bring it up in the interview process for more explaination.
What is going to change?
Transitions inevitably will bring some change, however my hope is to navigate any necessary changes together with you. The policy manual will likely be similar on all core policies, but there will be differences. Since I don’t know all of the current policies I cannot predict exactly what will be different. Overall our vision is to be faithful stewards of the restaurant and a positive influence just like Chick-fil-A Inc. so there will a lot of overlap in policies in pursuit of that goal. If there is any specific area of concern I’d be happy to address it at the time of interview.
From what I have seen this team is already doing a great job in so many areas. The last thing I want to do is disrupt that momentum. Generally my approach is to work with the leadership team to move together in building the future of the business. The main areas I would need to make quicker adjustments would be areas of: legal liability, food safety concern, team member safety concerns, or major guest experience concerns. While I don’t anticipate those issues I think its helpful to be transparent about those priorities.
